The modd boards have really helped me focus my design. I'm steering the logo more toward a box shape and I've shifted the color scheme so that it is a different series of shades and now includes a green. Marilyn suggested I look at working delivery into the logo so I've added a wing shape that I like and I'm hand drawing the text. I experimented some with fonts but I like the simpler, rounder font that's similar to the typeface I was using. Since it's hand drawn I wanted it to be simple and fit with non-hand written text easily.
