Working away at wrapping everything up. Revised the website to mirror the poster more and re-did all the type. Working on refining the logo to have more of an illustrative look as per Ed's suggestion and darkened the yellow to more of an orange throughout so it would be more visible. Got the coding for the portfolio more or less done so now I'm just refining the images. Meeting with Mark on Monday, plan to print Wednesday. Almost done.

Didn't get nearly as much work done as I wanted over Thanksgiving but I'm hoping it will be alright. I've mapped out what I need to finish and I think I will have time. Had my tablet die which is frustrating but not as bad as if it had died before I got the logo and things pretty much done. Waiting to get feedback from the other faculty, will probably schedule some face-to-face meetings on Monday. Alternating coding the charity website and the portfolio.

Chipping away at the website, trying to get the coded version to reflect the sketch that I like. Trying to use triangles/colors to mimic the folded paper aesthetic of the branding identity without getting in the way of the functionality. Written up most of the copy and I have a pretty good idea of how I want to do the donation system. Haven't received any feedback from my client so I'm pretty much just working the content out on my own based on what I have/ what makes sense. Hopefully that's alright.

Feeling really good about moving on to the website, if only so I can look at something I haven't been staring at for weeks. Very nervous about showing my stuff to the other teachers but I think the logo, poster, and brochure are all tying together pretty well. I feel pretty comfortable with the basic structure of everything so I think more input and work will really just help refine it all. The downside of making a poster and brochure that rely on folded paper is that I see a lot of mock-ups in my future. One thing I really felt after getting the poster critique is that it is super hard to visualize the print-ready design in its 3D form. I need to print out those mock-ups to take to teachers, type up all the text for my website, settle on color/layout for the website, and start coding.

I'd like to make a personal website for the 5th project. I haven't been receiving much information from my client and I think having a nicely designed website to show to potential employers would help me more in the future. I'd like to design it to have my portfolio and resume and display my personal style. I built a website in interaction 2 but I was still struggling to learn the coding and make it work in wordpress so it needs to be redone. My interaction 2 class was also over the summer so there wasn't a lot of opportunity for feedback. I'm hoping that redesigning it and being able to hear from more people about it will help me make a portfolio site that I will be happy with for a while.
